Anteprima presents “Anima ” SS25 collection

Milan, 19th September, 2024.

“In rustic grace, where beauty resides, imperfections speak. In nature, we dance and merge with flora and fauna and our spirits heal. Breathing, we find our way.
In the colors that speak, emotions are revealed. In the heart of creation, we prosper and let ourselves go. Soul calls.”

Izumi Ogino, Creative Director of Anteprima, for the SS25 collaborates with the Japanese artist Mika Tajima, who in his works questions the nature of coexistence between humanity and technology.

MIKA TAJIMA

In Latin, “soul” is translated as breath: in his works the breath is captured and transformed into a solid and visible form. Tajima’s art expressed through sculpture, painting and installation explores themes of control, performance and freedom: it examines how human behavior and emotions have changed, how technologies and ideologies shape our lives. Born in Los Angeles in 1975, Tajima earned a BA in East Asian Studies from Bryn Mawr University (PA) in 1997 and a master’s degree from Columbia University, School of the Arts, in 2003. In the early stages of his career, Tajima formed “New Humans,” an art group that featured installations and other works with musicians and performers. He creates works that incorporate elements of physics and technology, seeking anthropological-cultural responses. The series “Negative Entropy,” considered one of Tajima’s recent representative works, is a Jacquard-woven portrait based on graphic data obtained by analyzing the spectrogram of sound sources recorded by Tajima herself in various locations and environments. The Jacquard frame is also known to have been an inspiration for perforated cards (binary code) in early computer programming.

HARMONIOUS HORIZONS: HUMANITY AND NATURE

The narrative of the new collection is multifaceted: it speaks of the beauty of impermanence and the importance of embracing our humanity in all its complexities with energy. Encourages introspection and invites individuals to interact with their leaders as a source of comfort and expression in uncertain times. Embrace the symbiotic relationship between man and nature, with motifs inspired by flora and fauna that evoke a deep connection with the surrounding environment. Each garment is designed to offer a sense of tranquility and refuge in a hectic era, with sober elegance and minimalist designs.

ALT-OPTIMISM

ANTEPRIMA SS25 collection exudes an aura of optimism to offer a sense of hope and reassurance in uncertain times, inviting wearers to embrace their humanity and find comfort in the beauty of the world around them.

CONCEPT: RUSTIC ELEGANCE

The imperfection of Beauty with Intangible Energies. Discover small joys and find hope in every moment. The collection explores the balance between humanity and nature in a world that is constantly changing, inviting you to reflect on your place in the universe.

THE GAME OF TRANSPARENCY

The SS25 collection by Anteprima plays with transparency and color nuances to add fun and surprise. Light and layered materials that veil and reveal with delicacy, representing the balance between the apparent and the hidden.

TEXTILES

Translucent and soft fabrics radiate a discreet sensuality. Transparent chiffon, silk gauze and nylon blends that appear with all-over motifs of barely perceptible texture. The shapes are soft, the materials are blown and woven into fanciful forms.

COLORS

Warm and vibrant tones that contrast with cold and transparent shades. The combination of earthy neutrals and nostalgic blues transports the wearer to places of calm and rebirth: relaxing shades that evoke a sense of comfort and harmony.

THE FLOWER: ALLIUM

Allium flowers are known for their spherical shape, symbolising unity, humility and patience, and are often associated with prosperity and good luck.

WIREBAG

Inspired by the works of Mika Tajima, characterized by green glass and metal nozzles, this sculpture in glass is imagined through a knitting process in a transparent but structured material.
