Fratelli Rossetti presents “Shades of earth, shades of summer”

Milan, 19th September, 2024.

On the occasion of the Milan Fashion Week, Fratelli Rossetti launched the spring-summer 2025 collection: “Shades of earth, shades of summer”, celebrating through its products the warm colors of earth and summer.
The presentation was held in the Fratelli Rossetti showroom, in the heart of Milan, where it was possible to immerse yourself in a dimension that recalls different shades of colors inspired by the collection’s tones.
The atmosphere was made more suggestive by a maxi nappona, the unmistakable signature of the Brera moccasin by Fratelli Rossetti, personalized by the South African artist Cara Judd.
The designer, whose work is characterized by experimentation with materials, techniques and processes related to different territories, wanted to give her personal interpretation of an iconic element of the brand.
The Brera moccasin has been proposed in two new works: “Intreccio tech”, and in the seam “Punto a bambola”.
The first is a stylistic and technological evolution that celebrates the marriage between artisan tradition and creative experimentation; the weave is made using leather strips, stitched in zig-zag with threads of different colors on a net support, creating a three-dimensional effect. In addition to the iconic Brera model we also find the slipper, the ballerina and the baby sandal. The predominant colors recall those of the earth, almond, olive, must color and mango.
The “Doll stitch” workmanship, on the other hand, is characterized by a serpentine effect, the thread is finely pulled to create an elegant wave movement, giving a unique and refined dynamism. Here the ‘Brera’ was presented in two variants: suede and leather, the first in suede in pastel shades; the second in leather in white, black, almond and water lily.

Fratelli Rossetti in its 70 years of history has promoted small and large revolutions in the fashion world. Today, it continues its mission, combining the long tradition of craftsmanship with an intense search for innovation, while respecting the elegance that distinguishes the brand. Thanks to its ability to combine contemporary design and manual techniques, Fratelli Rossetti is an ambassador of Made in Italy and Italian style at international level.

Cara Judd, graduated in Product Design at the IED in Milan – where she is a teacher – started her career as apprentice craftsmen to get to collaborate with different companies. He founded, in 2016, together with Davide Gramatica, the studio CARA/DAVIDE, with which they self-produce sculptural objects focusing on the research and perception of materials.
