On the occasion of Milan Fashion Week Fratelli Rossetti celebrated its “small great revolutions” in the world of fashion in a fresh and witty key. The presentation of the new collection is inspired by the lively, typically Italian gestures, as described by Bruno Munari in “The Dictionary of Italian Gestures” in which the most iconic of Neapolitan culture stand out. Distinctive and characteristic element of our country that the brand has decided to transfer on the feet through the elaboration of eight stories that describe the spoken language – the kiss, the walk, the dance, the wait, the gentleman, goodbye, indecision and thought.
In the wake of the recent milestone of 70 years, “Shoe talks” was born as an ode to Made in Italy, a value rooted in the brand’s DNA and that is also found in the choice of the location that will host the event: the prestigious Boutique of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, in the heart of Milan.
For the Fall Winter 2024-25 collection, the most famous gestures are represented in a unique way by the icons that have marked the history of Fratelli Rossetti.
The unmistakable moccasin with tassels, Brera, interprets the pose of the kiss, emblematic moment of the brand’s photographic campaigns made by the famous photographer Giovanni Gastel. For the kiss Brera comes in the Tartan version, available for both him and her, characterized by a laser processing that gives the shoe a very particular “checked” effect. The final design, inspired by the typical Scottish fabric, is made with a mix of perforations combined with different lines of seams.
For the dance pose, Brera also wears a new season embroidery, handmade on a frame. The parts embroidered with multicolored yarns and the application of patch designs depicting the symbols of the brand’s icons – the tassels for the Brera moccasin, the bracket for the Magenta boot and the flower for the Hobo slipper – embellish the upper with a special three-dimensional effect.
The Magenta boot, the second icon par excellence of the brand, skilfully interprets the gestures of walking and goodbye. For this season the iconic metal bracket is revisited in an elegant key and also applied on hyper-feminine boots giving shine to models more in line with the trends of the moment.
In this path can not miss the Hobo and Dandy models, distinctive of the Mannish style that made famous Fratelli Rossetti and here protagonists of the gestures more androgynous indecision and waiting.
At the end of the story on gestures, the thought is embodied by one of the novelties of the season: the Mary Jane with double strap. A model symbol of femininity that winks at all women who seek a timeless and everyday elegance.
“Shoe Talks” renews the mission of the brand to combine the long tradition of craftsmanship with an intense search for innovation, affirming Fratelli Rossetti as a reference point for those seeking excellence in the Italian fashion industry.
